In relation to David Shoebridge’s frankly bizarre call for Australia to stop providing military aid to Ukraine, I’ve written about how simplistic grievance politics is a threat to democracy.

I can’t believe people on here are blaming Albanese for Trump. I know you blame Albanese for everything, but it’s new levels of ridiculous to see you place the blame for Trump at Albo’s feet. What the heck is Albo meant to do to stop Trump? Wow.
Mainstream media has normalised Donald Trump’s lies, allowing deceit to become a powerful political weapon with little accountability.
Trump’s lies should be the headline

Here is my analyse of mainstream media’s normalisation of Trump’s lies and their failure to hold him accountable for his prolific deceit.
AI is becoming increasingly sophisticated in its ability to hack websites. It’s terrifying that the developers of this technology are totally losing control of it.
Constantly hating on a Labor MP because he’s not a Green is not progressive.
“All their time and energy is spent critiquing Labor….” sound familiar?
This was literally written with people like you in mind.
Another progressive who wants Labor to lose and can only see politics through the prism “it’s all about me and if they’re not perfectly doing everything I like, I’ll campaign against them”. Really helpful, not. You don’t speak for me when you bash Albo.
See above my comments about complexity and how those constantly bashing Labor ignore it.
Follow up comment, I get really sick of people implying that politics and diplomacy - such as Australia’s relationship with the US - is simple. So much critique of Albo/Labor totally ignores the complex world order and we live in. Could you at least try to look at the complex big picture here?
Have you read what Albo is doing in the US? Try not to always jump at shadows and instead consider the context

The people who built AI with seemingly little care for the havoc it could cause and no guardrails to protect public should be held accountable for every problem AI is now causing. They want to make billions but don’t want to accept responsibility for their technology.
It’s important in politics to remember that not everyone feels the same way about things as you do. You see the world through only one person’s eyes - yours.
I've written about the Labor paradox: some voters think Labor is too progressive and others say Labor is not progressive enough. Labor must build a broad political consensus and those who want change but don't want change to impact them are not helping!

It’s always been a lie that Pauline Hanson represents the interests of ordinary Australians. That lie is exposed in her despicable attacks on Albanese’s mother for living in public housing. Hanson is a cruel and manipulative person. I don’t understand why her supporters can’t see this.
Then why did you mount a campaign of lies about Gillard’s carbon price to destroy her?
This seems a tad problematic (is an understatement).
Is it just me or does this news story make it sound like the boyfriend is the victim here?
I’ve written about Jason Arday’s death, institutional racism, disproportionate media pile ons, and the truth about Arday’s brilliant (but sadly short) academic career.
