Netflix is laying off 1,000 workers — its largest layoff ever. In 2025, Netflix had a net income of $11 billion (up 26%). Its CEO was paid $53M (255x more than the median employee). And it just raised prices for the second time in just over a year. Corporate greed in a nutshell.

If you need proof of how much of a grudge Canadians hold, and how long, even the new show “Below” is accurate that you can’t find a “rum and Coke” in Newfoundland ‘cos they’re in their 3rd decade of boycotting Coke after Coke closed a factory there. Anyhow, Canadians are not returning to Vegas.
