My first thought is that I wouldn't cry very much if every AI cultist did this and got their finances wrecked. My second was that it would probably be Elon who steals their money. So yeah, very bad idea.

I think I've finally got this Aotearoa/NZ trip sorted out. Two weeks (and a bit), five people traveling from three US cities, visiting family in three NZ cities, all around Christmas. Booking everything is going to be hell, but herding these cats has been *hard* so I'm glad to have gotten this far.

Gates was, by all accounts, a decent coder. That doesn't change the fact that his *advantage* over other decent coders was money and access, so we could just leave it at that. No need to say things that aren't true. Are you even qualified to judge others' coding skills?

Funny how we don't have similar memorials for every single day that IDF killed more than died on October 7, which is probably most of them. Apparently neither government really beliefs that all humans are created equal, with equal rights to life, liberty, etc.

I hardly ever use my microwave's full power (1000W). 800W max, and then only for very dense things like soup. Also only 30-90s at a time, with stirring or at least a short break in between to let heat distribute. Why are so many directions so far off? 5m at full power would destroy *anything*.

I've been getting hot maple syrup (from Spicy Shark) for years, so I have no use for hot honey.
