@minnette.bsky.socialHe’s got very good comic timing, which we don’t often see on points West.. even though it had taken him about three hours ( I think he said ) to get to us from Brizzle!
@minnette.bsky.socialHave a wonderful time, you lucky girl! x
@minnette.bsky.socialOoh.. we’re heading there this week— where will we find those? Please!
@minnette.bsky.socialHe sounds lovely!
@minnette.bsky.socialMy OH.. good degree, wrote science ‘A’ level papers, etc. At an interview for a teaching job ,was told that the position should have been his, but with his accent, there would be a problem convincing the pupils that he was intelligent. My response? I’d need convincing they’d be worth teaching.
@minnette.bsky.social@darrenpjones.bsky.social I was in the ‘Any Questions’ audience yesterday evening, and just wanted to say that I was impressed with your responses to the unseen questions. It was a very interesting evening. Thank you.
@minnette.bsky.socialAnd lots of TLC- hope he’s comfortable.
@minnette.bsky.socialWe had to fight for everything in this corner; it’s a beautiful but deprived ( in parts ) area. Some of our parents were busy trying to feed/ clothe kids. Ranks moved to Ireland, which meant that, in some families, both parents lost their jobs. 😔
@minnette.bsky.socialWow! Wish we’d had the space and resources for something like that! We did our best, but some of that must have cost money/donations as well as staff input- playhouse for eg?
@minnette.bsky.socialDoes he need ongoing treatment?
@minnette.bsky.socialAmerica, this morning I actually feel sorry for you!
@minnette.bsky.socialYep!
@minnette.bsky.socialI’m flattered! I was wearing my ‘posh frock’ too, as I’d been out to a tea party and couldn’t be bothered to change again!
@minnette.bsky.socialMorning Cathy!
@minnette.bsky.socialMorning all! Well, the Any Questions last night was very interesting- the organisation, the warm up ( David Garmston was charming and very entertaining ) and some of the panel’s responses. Now, hopefully, a quiet day- have a good weekend folks!
@minnette.bsky.socialI’m not sure that I could cope with that- we gave up watching a few years ago.. I have high PB and angina! 😂
@minnette.bsky.socialHe won’t gyre or gimble anywhere - that slug slime is way too sticky! 🤮
@minnette.bsky.socialBut not first thing in the morning!
@minnette.bsky.socialWe don’t have the radio on much- ( OH’s hearing ), so I haven’t listened to it for years.
@minnette.bsky.socialHave I got the wrong programme? It’s the radio one; no chance I’d be on telly! We’re going to support the village hall, really, and as far as I can tell, there’s nobody really obnoxious on the panel, but we’ll see!
