i had to look at ai detectors for work last week, and it is *amazing* how bad they are. i fed them one of my old esl articles and i got results from 0% ai (correct) to 100% ai, and everything in between. running it twice on the same detector could give two different results. but yeah, fuck 'em.

From what I've read, they've been mass-deploying "AI" detectors - and you know how well THEY work (especially when there's queer, trans or BIPOC content/creators involved). So could be that Equally, they've been clamping down on "problematic" content. So who the fuck knows? Either way, fuck them

I reanalyzed the CDC data behind the LGB “free fall” headline. It rests on a change in bisexual identification among one grade, in one wave, of one survey. Gay or lesbian identification did not change significantly. Calling it a "free fall" is sensational and just gives bad actors talking points.
