Thing is with the City cheating it reminds you that those who play by the rules Newcastle, Villa etc have their squads raped every season to stay within the rules. It's not all about what they've won unfairly it's the impact following the rules has on other teams. #TheFootball

This made me smile as I've just missed the train into town for the Bob Stanley - Shadows book event at @foylesforbooks.bsky.social thanks to Windsor relief road traffic. Back at home now. It takes great effort for me to commit to something then fate decides I can't go anyway. Hey ho...

people keep making movies where the premise is "it's kind of like a man but it looks like a monstrous freak but it's nice and sexy and doesn't abuse the woman so it's basically the most romantic thing ever" and men keep not getting it.

Morning listening. It’s like one of those cool library albums that go for £££ but it’s The Shadows (plus Alan Hawkshaw (I think) on keyboards) so it turns up for a quid in charity shops. Fantastic “funky” reworkings of popular hits including a belting River Deep Mountain High -

A fabulous thing. Gatefold sleeve, lots of drawings so you can follow the story and those timeless songs. It's properly great, honestly. My parents bought it for me and it must have been played over one hundred times.
