I lived in the one next door to the north for a summer, back in 1994.
Hell, The Wedge isn’t even in The Wedge. And don’t worry, 26th and 27th are both in The Wedge.
I lived on 26th and Bryant, and at Lagoon and Irving. Only one of the two did I refer to as “Uptown”.
There are people who think everything south of 394 and west of 35W is Uptown. Who cares, they’re wrong too.
That’s what the business owners’ group that campaigned for that designation back in the 1930s decided the borders would be. There’s an apartment building a mile into Saint Louis Park called “Edge of Uptown Apartments”, is that at least too far for you?
Maplewood is part of Saint Paul! Manitoba is part of Minnesota!
Uptown is a business district bordered by 28th, Dupont, 31st, and the lakes. Any attempts to embiggen it are because it used to have cachet. It’s like saying the Fairgrounds are in Saint Paul. Or that you’re an astronaut because you’ve been in an airplane.
you ever see a piece of art that you can't react to without going to prison
Just one?
You want me to swing by on my way home?
Wonder what Nicole Coenen could do with this bad boy.
John sounds like a dork.
I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽♀️
Look ma, I'm in the newspaper!
Thanks to @rossraihala.bsky.social for telling the story of The Jacket™️!

Luckily, I only have one awful Mayor, and she’s been in office for a little over nine months. Those poor schlubs in Minneapolis have had one for eight years.
Well, that was a delight. Thanks to all my compatriots and competitors, as well as the fine folks who did all the logistics work to make a fun event like this happen. It was wonderful to call out Kim Bartmann and Brian Ingram for being awful in front of 160 folks, and trash our awful Mayor as well.
I love a good walk-and-talk.
