@geekfilter.bsky.socialNo but the whole idea of it being 10 minutes away and the 10 minutes lasting 25 minutes doesn't work. It doesn't stretch out the anticipation it just makes it feel…off. The show was still finding its feet so it makes sense but if this was in season three it would be really clunky!

It shows a clip from "The Pirates of Orion" Spock will die if they don't get the drug and Kirk argues politics w/the Orions...then smash cut to singing about pink Panther & the Addams family! Such a tonal whiplash!
