In light of some magazines pulling scummy things on creators lately, I’m doing a little thread on short story rights. I don't want anybody getting taken advantage of. Also, if you're new, this stuff can be confusing!
Kegsbreath wants the military to be American Isis.
My people, they are hungry.
The Fiends ones are pretty rare. Good score!
I try not to think too much about the fact that the Cabinet official tasked with preventing terrorist attacks here seems like one of the dumber cartoon animals in the Hanna-Barbera family
Oh man. Deputy Dog or El Kabong? This will make the briefing clips more fun. Thanks!
Thank you. Nice of you to say.
Good to know, thanks.
I got one for one of my books that came out in 1994. They were sure they could really help it fly.
That's a nightmare. I haven't been active on Facebook for many years, except book announcements, so I would have lost 128K followers with no way to win them back.
My publisher has helped me get my Facebook account back when it was hacked, but other than that, the power a publisher gives you is the ability to say no to speculative promoters. And that may be going away. Wish I could be more optimistic.
I'm rooting for you.
I honestly don't know. If I had answers I would tell you.
I hope you're letting them/it read the script to your voicemail.
It's amusing. I worry about indy writers who are desperate to get their work seen. The last thing they need is a scammer preying on their hope for money.(That's where all of these things go, eventually. I've even had people offer for their book club to read my book for a modest fee.)
But did they convince you how brilliant you were first? That's my favorite part.
It's pretty surprising how high-minded and "comparative literature" they get about it when I know I was thinking, "It would be really cool to have an enormous dog named Geoff!"
Getting a lot of e-mails lately that summarize one or another of my books. Obviously A.I. generated, but how did they think I wouldn't be able to tell? I'm simply thanking the sender for clearing up what the book was about for me.
I think we've followed each other for some time now, but thanks.
Maaaaayyyyyyybe...
