Ah funny, I have that one sitting around in Codex but haven’t had a chance to push it up. Keep ‘em coming though! I’m heading to bed but I’ll send a donation in the morning. ☺️

Awesome, lemme know how it goes! Either way I'll do something nice so don't sweat it, I'm genuinely more curious about this approach and really appreciate your blog post. 🙂

@Oct 13, 2026, 3:21 AM

Yeah let's do it! I'll admit that I have limited knowledge of the trans charitable world so based on my limited googling would Trans Student Educational Resources suffice? If not happy to take your advice on a 501c3. 😄

@Oct 13, 2026, 1:29 AM

I'm in, how much should I donate?

@Oct 13, 2026, 1:21 AM

You know it! I better get a new pattern for helping. 😉

This website design rules, but also loved your story!

As much as I like Bluesky, all public social networks have the same problem — they're town squares, not communities. What people liked about Twitter was finding their community of developers or sports or pop culture or whatever inside of Twitter, while mostly trying to ignore the rest.

People can spend their time wherever they want so I genuinely won't throw shade at Gruber's decision to go back to posting on X. But the idea that X is "friendly and inclusive" is pretty laughable when you consider that since the dawn of Twitter it's been a thunderdome that people call the hellsite.

The culture on X today is remarkably friendly and inclusive. It is a
cheerful place. That cheerfulness is another differentiator. If you
believe the world is falling apart and doomed only to get worse, that
our obvious and real problems cannot be surmounted, X is not the
platform for you. If you think the world is full of fun and amazing
people and things, that humanity's defining feature is our collective
ability to solve any problem, that the only time better to be alive than
today is tomorrow, it might be.

The telegraph. Stop.

Calling it Super Intelligence is a good filter for intelligence.

Much of how you feel about the world and how you will live your life comes down to two questions. 1. When you see opportunity, what do you do? 2. When you see sadness, what do you do? Everything else is just the details in between.

Spooky season #Caturday update.

I've been a little confused by the reporting, is there any proof that OpenAI used conversations of users who opted out of training to solve these math problems? It sounds like someone threw out that allegation and the story stuck, not that this is how it actually happened.

@Oct 9, 2026, 10:59 PM

Gotcha, that makes sense. 1. Just curious but what are you spawning Work chats for? Is it "do a random thing on my computer with AI" or something else? 2. Remote Codex is through an always-on machine and not Codex Cloud, right? 3. Yeah, I'm trying to have it be more proactive. Any use cases?

@Oct 9, 2026, 9:15 PM

Where's the lie?

@Oct 9, 2026, 9:10 PM

Really? I keep trying dot out but it hasn't stuck so far because it's pretty tedious and slow. Your usual sarcastic response aside, am I holding it wrong?

Really sad that iOS Dev Weekly was once a great newsletter, but it's new owners are happy to publish AI slop and link to AI slop articles. I used to look forward to the newsletter every week, but now the only thing written by humans is the sponsor copy so I finally unsubscribed. 😔

Executions are barbaric and corrosive for the soul, but I feel confident no matter your stance on the death penalty most people that are not too far gone can agree that we simply should not be live-streaming them.

@Oct 9, 2026, 3:18 AM

Yes but I worked at Twitter while Jay and co were incubating ATProto so that was part of the reason why I joined.
