On using AI to create posters in schools: Don't. The kids can tell (it's obvious), and it's basically just openly saying to them "AI is fine to use for your schoolwork"

treat your body like a data center. consume as much water, art and literature as possible. upset local municipalities with your existence.

My partner and I were once stripping down an old computer when it suddenly produced the message "I can't recover from this." We both felt terrible - because we have normal, healthy empathy. That feeling, however, did not mean that it was alive.

Someone told me a while back that every year they offer this to R.L. Stine and every year he politely declines so they can give it to someone who maybe needs it more than he does. If true, it really speaks to his humility as a writer and kindness as a human being. Don't know if it's true though.

Guitar players/strummers, say we were living in a world where there was no standard E-A-D-G-B-E tuning, and you were trying to devise a nice tuning that would let you play in a wide variety of keys with equal facility, what's the chances that you'd come up with E-A-D-G-B-E?
