ICE continues to execute chaotic, violent, and oppressive operations across the country, displaying an egregious level of incompetence. There must be accountability for the lives lost and the people injured as a result of this rogue organization.

I unequivocally condemn ICE's shooting of a man in New York yesterday. Having a plainclothes officer draw a gun on a vehicle carrying a 5-year-old child in a residential neighborhood is reckless and does absolutely nothing to make our communities safer. People are terrified.

The costs of this war have been tremendous, and Trump's comments only underscore how dangerously out of touch he is with reality.

Trump's remarks this week about Iran taking out Los Angeles and San Diego are deeply disturbing. He called for Iran to "take out" two American cities, a statement that would be unthinkable for any other president to make and further signs of his alarming mental decline and lack of human decency.

Yesterday, almost 11,000 legal residents in Washington lost health insurance because of President Trump's Big Beautiful Bill. Refugees, asylum-seekers, and other lawful immigrants who rely on Apple Health are more likely to get sicker and increase costs for those remaining in the system.

This is devastating for the health care system across our state.
