Emma Sulkowicz carried a mattress around Columbia to protest her alleged sexual assault. She takes Cornell’s Jane Doe at her word—but questions what courts can resolve. What she hopes happens to the seven men surprised me.

Michael Tracey told me to read the Sixth Amendment. I have. It begins: "In all criminal prosecutions." The Cornell case is a civil lawsuit.

The day before Michael Tracey posted a name he says belongs to the Cornell Jane Doe, one of the seven accused men told the court he "does not object" to her staying anonymous. Tracey posted it anyway, then deleted it. I asked him why.

Context: Tracey says his audio cut out here, and he later said he isn't being paid. He also called my question defamatory, so he heard at least some of it.

"Because the president wants it." I asked @MarcACaputo how he knows there are conversations inside the White House about an armed presence near polling places. His answer is the most unsettling thing I've heard this cycle.
