Oh good another round of Comics vs. Roy Lichtenstein
If it makes you feel better it felt just as bad to type it out.
not really into this whole “for they shall inherit the Earth” thing. I’m meek for the love of the game

it does not escape me that this looks basically identical to the last Brian Wilson tour
really truly grim
It’s really just wretched stuff. The songs at least have the “oh, I guess this is a competent musical basis? I guess?” element but with that stripped away it’s all just dreadful non-observations delivered by one of the least charming “performers” I’ve ever encountered
The songs are bad, but somehow the non-music stuff is even worse
Music or “skits”?
It’s throughout publishing, not just in comics. Reduced budgets make it so proofreaders are among the first to go, and the results are accordingly.
Deeply unserious operation, on the whole
This all is from BLOODHARLEY’S COACH by Samura Hiroaki. Not a very good comic… feels bad to say, given the truly gruesome subject matter, but the way it cops out of its own premise in the final chapter (“But then the Evil Plan was revealed by the press and overturned!”) seems kind of… cowardly?
It’s from Hollow Press, so “actual publisher” depends on how you feel on a given day
Thus concludes today’s installment of #typowatch
A tale as old as time itself: “the translator and the proofreader were the same person”
proofreader… hire… me…
