Two big announcements:
1. I'm looking for my next job.
2. My website is now one of the most "Atmospheric" websites to date, going beyond just @standard.site to include @teal.fm, @anisota.net, custom lexicons, a status bar, data inspector, and more.

i did evaluate and read it myself, i still think it’s a net negative
because of all those secondary and greater issues, that leads me to further believe this study is bad because of what it has done to the conversation
I guess I’m failing to see how/why I or anyone else should really care about this study though? It seems like at a minimum a nothing burger that maybe hopefully will inspire or lead to more serious research?
it’s ironic how so many people have unintentionally and unconsciously let their hatred for AI completely warp and temporarily eliminate their capability for critical thought their intelligence, in the face of AI, just flies out the window and they get praise from their audience for it!
pretty much, confirmation bias is crazy strong
big big big accounts and influential people here on bluesky were uncritically sharing this slop study because it confirmed their lazy biases about AI and its users this stuff continually turns people into participants in uncoordinated and unintentional misinformation campaigns
i’ve been disappointed to see the number of people on bluesky sharing this study as if it isn’t complete & total bullshit what makes it worse is that so many of the people uncritically sharing this study were using it to call AI users stupid, when in reality *they* were being stupid for sharing it
the added benefit of issuing formal statements on discourse topics is i could just maintain a list of the formal statements and if anyone wants to know my position they can go look it up on my website
Also new in @anisota.net...
Read a summary and sentiment analysis of a Bluesky feed before ever seeing its content via the new "Looking In" feature.
Anisota scans all the posts, shows you the overview, warns you of disturbances, and gives you a better way out... or in.

this is actually how this works, i’m sitting there staring at my phone until a like comes through and can’t really deviate or get distracted
I was simply trying to set the artist free. First.

54 minutes 10 seconds is the record on the attempts so far. The shortest attempts last less than a minute.

i would like your help with a social art project
this post is the project
the goal is for this post to receive ZERO likes… only replies, reposts, or quotes
once it's liked, replies are immediately disabled, thereby finishing the piece
this is take #40
May I reiterate how cool @dame.is’s Ratioed website is
Make sure to also check out the pages for the individual pieces, e.g., dame.is/creating/rat..., which I am happy to be a part of
