While we agree it's close to the price of regular gas, it's definitely still cheaper in most cases than premium, and Diesel which would offer closer satisfactory torque feel. It's also so much less maintenance than only comparing fuel cost.

What happened in our case was the physical metal on the key was wore down from consistent years of short trips. We had a spare key and compared you could see how smoothed out everything was.

Keyed ignition? We had something happen around the 6ish year mark where key literally wore out. It'd kinda start most times. But eventually we couldnt start. We figured it out because remote start worked. Put key in, ignition cut. Anti theft thought key was wrong. Solved by using 2nd key.
