@railfans.caI think they have mentioned a few times on having a few power issues (but without much detail beyond that). Apparently they are improving, and this latest memo suggests that things are on the right track on that front.

@railfans.ca@railfans.caMEMO: Update on O-Train East Extension Hitachi, a train-control software sub-contractor to East-West Connectors, detected issues with its safety-critical software, that require update and reprogramming. This means that the forecast for Pre-Trial Running to start has shifted from October to November.

@railfans.caOn September 26 between 10 am and 2 pm, @octranspo.com will be hosting an Open House at the future O-Train Line 1 Place d’Orléans Station. Customers can tour the new station and chat with our staff about the Line 1 East Extension.

@railfans.caToday marks the 7 Year Anniversary of O-Train Line 1 (September 14, 2019). 12.5km long, 13 stations, and 34 initial light-rail vehicles, the line is expected to expand to Orleans in the coming months, and westbound in 2027-2028.
@railfans.caPre-Trial Running is planned to run for at least 1 week, then move into Trial Running for a minimum of 3 weeks. After this, another 1-2 weeks are required before it could open to passengers. These are all minimums and can last or be extended longer based on how things go.
@railfans.caOC Transpo is hopeful of starting Pre-Trial Running on the O-Train East Extension in early October. Based on information shared today at the transit committee.we can extrapolate that the likely earliest possible opening would be around mid-November. No opening date has been confirmed yet.
