Reminds me of a chapter opening poem in my book 'The Rise & Fall of Antocracy' Some civilized see others as brutal & savage. Yet 'Civilization' needs but slight changes to beget 'Evil Nation.' Remove the 3rd i & flip the 1st one on the cee, & again, ninety degrees, counter-clockwise, turn the zee.

Shortly after my alien main character reaches Texas, he is required to save a women bleeding out on a park bench after being refused treatment for a miscarriage due to Texan law. Scenes like that make this my most provocative book yet. It's fiction mimicking reality.
