They are about that size. I’ve always picked them too early and thought they were inherently sour but I forgot about these and they are absolutely delicious. Lots of seed, but it’s light and it’s not unpleasant.

Sorry, I don’t think I’m being clear. You are getting 12 ounces but it used to be 16. They don’t want to raise the price so they make the bag smaller but the average consumer doesn’t know the difference between 12 and 16 ounces in a pound, so they are getting away with it.

The issue is that they are trying to fool you into thinking you were buying a pound. It says 12 ounces and then later it’s now saying 10 ounces if the company is really desperate. They don’t want to make you know the actual price of a pound.

100% it will be better but it should be a pound. Not 12 ounces and now 10 ounces. It’s a game so that you’ll avoid sticker shock. I guess it works, but I find it offensive.

When I first started, I was advised to do a 12 ounce bag. "People don't know the difference." I do and I found that attitude cynical. Specialty coffee does this as well, sometimes.

We're not being funny, but did you know that there are 16 ounces in a pound? Some food vendors are betting that you don't and they package 12 ounce bags, which "read" a pound. In the real world, most people like one pound bags. Be sure and check when you are comparing costs.
