Stay tuned for more Christmas dates!
2/2: Spend a Christmas night out with us, reminiscing about scary Christmas telly, bleak carols, and EastEnders doing its level best to ruin the big day:

TREMBLE UNDER THE TINSEL! The brand-new Scarred for Life Christmas Special live show is coming in December! Me and @bobfischer.bsky.social will be breaking out the Warninks and remembering the creepier side of Christmas past. Spooky TV specials, bleak soap operas, and ghost stories galore! 1/2
Haha! We're not quite there yet... :)
That would be the exact equivalent, I reckon! 😂
THE SWEENEY ANNUALS (1976-1978): Post-watershed fun with Reagan and Carter - a bullet to the groin, a double page spread of the pissed-up duo in a sweaty pub, and grimy photos. Just the thing for the little 'uns to unwrap on Christmas Day.
TAKE CARE WITH CIGARETTES (1982): Doom-laden PIF about one woman's final bedtime. And the cat's too, unless it got lucky.
Just 17 tickets left for our Folk Horror show at Carshalton on 29 October! This one's heading for a sell-out...
THE GHOST HUNTERS (1975): Seminal BBC doc about 'people who look for ghosts - and some of the people who have seen them'. Here, ghost hunter Benson Herbert explains the benefits of his Negative Ion Pistol...
A very naughty man indeed!
THREE WEEKS TODAY! The Scarred For Life Folk Horror show will be at Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton! Me and @bobfischer.bsky.social will be looking at The Wicker Man, Children of the Stones, Play for Today, K-9 and Company, and, ooh, loads more besides. Loads!

I did a get a tiny bit of existential dread when the news broke last week. Haven't felt that since the 80s 😬
Posting this because... well, no reason at all. Honest, guv'nor.
SURVIVORS (1975): Terry Nation's dystopian drama about a community trying to rebuild society after a plague wipes out 99% of the world's population...
NEW ON PATREON! Two brand-new Scarred For Life essays for spooky season about BBC1's classic 1975 documentary THE GHOST HUNTERS, featuring a roll-call of wonderful eccentrics, and TOPPS FRIGHT FLICKS, an insanely gory set of 80s bubble gum cards.

I've stumbled across an image that sums up 1979 during the Scarred For Life era, combining ITV's 11 week strike with the Yorkshire Ripper...
Oh yeah! I didn't see any of the conversation, now I'm really curious, ha!
Definitely best to think of the pod as a completely seperate entity at this point. The books and live shows with Bob Fischer (and my Patreon) are 'core' SFL, to me at least. Andy isn't part of the Scarred For Life team, he's purely pod-related. Blimey, it is getting complicated! 😅
Oh sorry, the podcast is essentially a seperate entity from the books and live shows now! I left it last Feb, have no involvement in it, and have no info to give. It's why there's zero pod-related posts here. But the books are chock full of this stuff :)
