@richardcohen.bsky.socialSo hard to resist saying "surely their journey from Las Vegas was just a sub-2hr flight on a very comfortable charter plane?" ;)
@richardcohen.bsky.socialSometimes the most likely reason for how a sporting event went is incompetence, and yet you find yourself thinking you wouldn't exactly be surprised if there were 'unusual betting patterns' before the game.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialRough week for Mark Davis teams.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialIt's in Dallas for NaLyssa Smith.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialYes. Rooting for 0-17 isn't exactly keeping me gripped.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialSo really, really good, but maybe not quite 'superstar who makes you good on their own' level of good. Thanks.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialI wonder how many fans are lost by tanking teams that just never come back. I've had so much less interest in the NFL this year because my team had absolutely no hope (or even intention of having hope) from the beginning. Some people in this situation must just stop watching forever.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialDoes take a little bit of the shine off Liverpool getting stuffed when it's the cheats doing it. Only a little bit, mind you.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialWhat does 'Role 7' mean? I followed your link, but it's not really explained there either.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialI haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate the way VAR has destroyed that moment of elation when your team scores a goal. One of the key things that made football [soccer] special. So many times you barely celebrate because the only thought is "well let's wait five minutes and find out if that'll actually count."
@richardcohen.bsky.socialWas just thinking about Yo the other day, because a colleague of mine always used to say she had no moves, but it didn't matter. Because she was so strong, and so determined, and she was just gonna finish and moves didn't matter. So, y'know, with Angel Reese now a hot topic of discussion... #WNBA
@richardcohen.bsky.socialComplete coincidence, actually. Stokes scored 11pts in three games so it was just the closest number to describe how little she scored.
@richardcohen.bsky.socialOh how we scoffed. #WNBA
@richardcohen.bsky.socialKiah Stokes may well have just had the best sub-4ppg series in WNBA history. #WNBA
@richardcohen.bsky.socialGet ready to make new plans, Doja Cat fans. #WNBA
@richardcohen.bsky.socialThey tried it again. Williams was just too close to Young for Gray to have the lane for the pass. #WNBA
@richardcohen.bsky.socialLiterally said to my screen "Vegas like to run lots of misdirection and then get someone streaking directly to the rim in these situations". Didn't have time to type.
@richardcohen.bsky.social"Kiah Stokes is on me! That means someone else is on A'ja, get her the ball! ... ... Shit, the someone else was Gabby Williams." #WNBA
@richardcohen.bsky.socialSame way they've called it all year. Didn't land on her foot, so not a reckless closeout. At least that's been consistent. Ridiculous that it took so damn long, though. #WNBA
@richardcohen.bsky.socialNot sure how easy it would be to move that floating supermax contract right now. Not for any kind of value, anyway.
