What an absurd interaction. Apart from anything else, as someone who has done the luggage portage for coach trips, you can't monopolise both lifts for the purpose. You can theoretically stop people from going up via the lobby but people will also come down! The multiple lifts is on purpose!

And like. The way you do this is you roll the suitcases and fill the lift with them like tetris, so there's like 12-16 suitcases in the lift per run upstairs Once they get to the floor they need to be offloaded onto the landing This is a time-intensive process bc theyre SUITCASES. Theyre heavy!

Came back to the hotel with some friends and there was a coach trip so they were in the process of transporting 40-50 suitcases upstairs in the lift, which i have done myself as a luggage porter and does suck We went to get in the other lift and the coach trip leader was like um??? We are queueing?
