Remember that more innocent time when people would give themselves a Halloween name for October. Let’s bring it back.

The Dubai-Tel Aviv flight attack is one of the most shocking and unbelievable stories. Wow.

Are there any conference floor votes for Trans+ rights this year? I’m struggling to find much information.

Pessimism is a luxury

Also reaffirming commitments on reforming Gender Recognition Act and introducing non-binary legal recognition.

Parliamentary vote on EHRC appointments: require all future appointments of the EHRC Chair to be subject to a confirmatory vote by the Women and Equalities Committee to ensure the Chair commands cross-party confidence.

Mandatory impact monitoring: ensure the EHRC continuously monitors the real-world impact of its guidance and revises any code proven to be discriminatory, unworkable, or harmful.

A new, workable EHRC Code of Practice: require the EHRC to issue updated statutory guidance that ensures safe, dignified access to public facilities for all, while protecting service providers from legal uncertainty.

A dedicated Parliamentary Review Committee: establish a cross-party parliamentary committee to review how the law protects trans people's rights, taking evidence from impacted communities to propose statutory amendments.

I think this analysis is so off. Overly dramatic. I can’t see a leader that’s tripled party membership being jettisoned for coming second in a by-election and increasing vote share in the seat - that’s not a target seat! - as being a resigning matter. What am I missing?

Maitlis on LBC’s News Agents said: “…I also think that if he stands and loses, then it is probably the end of him as the Green Party leader, because this is a seat that the Greens should be taking, not easily, easily, but fairly comfortably on a good night.”
