Me and 32 friends have written something for @natrevcleantech.nature.com. There's some #adsorption (including on MOFs), some #catalysis, a bit of #electrochemistry, & lots of #hydrogen storage & metal/complex hydrides. Please have a look if you're interested in such things.

Did I? Are you sure? I really don't think I did. And the rest of the paragraph reads like beat poetry. (This has just been published in an RSC journal with a JIF of 9.2...)

We're all set up in the stunning Museu do Amanhá for the 16th Brazilian Meeting on Adsorption (#EBA2026) in Rio de Janeiro.

If you're here, please come & speak to @darrenbroom.bsky.social or Eduardo Pimenta & his team from LabSolutions Brasil, to learn more about our gas & vapor sorption analyzers!

The auditorium is very nice.

It feels very good to have been the editor who handled Soai's 1995 paper in Nature on autocatalytic amplification of an enantiomeric excess - now known as the Soai reaction. This seemed a curiosity at the time, but we clearly made the right call.

I hope it’s not going to fall over during the conference!

It is! I'm not sure I've seen one before, though. I've just had a quick through some of his projects & I can't see many/any I'm familiar with...

Tomorrow's venue for #EBA2026, the 16th Brazilian Meeting on Adsorption, in Rio de Janeiro.

As conference venues go, I think it's quite impressive.

"By using AI, tasks like essays that used to take hours can be completed in minutes!" Sure, like how if I arrive at the gym and immediately go for a shower, my workout is done in record time. And if I throw my sandwiches straight in the bin, I can finish my lunch in under 10 seconds.

Am actively recruiting graduate students for 2027. Looking for a total of 4-6 students to join the team. Synthetic organic chemistry, molecular biology/cell biology, and biophysics are priorities, but we will consider almost anything in the molecular sciences if it aligns with our work!

I was about to make this comment, but I see you got there first! Here's the definition from the Cambridge Dictionary: "someone who is not honest, careful, or skilful in their trade or business, or someone who ignores rules that most people obey and is therefore not considered to be responsible"
