I would be EXTREMELY annoyed to discover my PR is "AI"-generated, and as someone bombarded with dozens of "AI"-generated emails daily, I assure you the stink of "AI" is immediately noticable and immediately dismissible. Publishers are not doing their new books any favors in using it.

Cory’s positions around AI are interestingly mixed. I haven’t really had time to sit down and work my way through which I do or don‘t accept, but his growth company/mature company split is definitely interesting.

Apparently when we ask why they’re building machines to write poetry rather than take out the bins, the answer is that they’ve got a completely different (dismal) perception of what matters.

I suppose it’s interesting that people inside the bubble are giving up the best things to AI models so they can do less good things with their time.
