@jessicatarlov.bsky.socialThis election is going to be about the economy. That’s why the GOP is losing support from men. Trump won them by 12 in 2024 and Dems have a 4 point lead now. No amount of fear mongering about ‘transing’ kids is going to make voters look at their grocery bill and think ‘eh this isn’t so bad.’

As I set out to write I Disagree, I learned the first step to persuasion is showing an alternative vision. That’s what I hope to be for people.

I don’t need people to do things they don’t want to do, but I hope my book prepares you to have those hard conversations with the people you love and surround yourself with.

There are too many polls to go over, but Gallup having party ID at 50% for Democrats is bonkers. While low propensity voters breaking for Democrats isn’t surprising given this economy, it is a very big deal!
