It's actually kind of chilly today, though I'm told it'll be 90 degrees again next week So tired of heat waves

So our design is an amalgamation of two of these sketches, plus the striped pants from 1929 title cards. I was also determined to make him easier to draw and look more like a real mouse, hence the scruffy fur and whiskers.

One of the main things I did was make a new design for Mickey, and not just copy a 1929 or 1930 design. I remember seeing Ub Iwerks' first sketches of Mickey and looking at the rejected designs and thinking "I actually kind of like those better?"

Every year our local grocery store puts up an ofrenda dedicated to celebrities who died during the past year. This year's ofrenda has Ozzy Osborne and Dolly Parton next each other, and I can't think of a more contrasting duo.

So what's up with people on Tumblr asking me "Can I talk to you? I've got something important to say" or something similar, usually claiming they can't send me a private message? It's happened three times this week. And whenever I answer, they stop talking to me. What was the point?
