Holy cow! This opportunity changed my life nearly 20 years ago (& now there's a stipend!) If you are even remotely serious about making comics, learning the craft of storytelling and meeting amazing people you need to apply for this. I cannot stress enough how helpful it is if you put in the work.

It’s taking a little while between parenting and my main ongoing work but I’m about 2/3rds complete on it. I’m trying to get it finished this week!

Thank you! I am just glad I got to draw in the REH universe once. One of the things that got me into comics was reading Conan in the grocery store. My dad was shopped as I devoured the stories.

I’ll give it a whirl!

Star Trek (1966) "The MIT Museum unveiled an extraordinary piece of television and cultural history: the original 33-inch Starship Enterprise model that helped define sci-fi and sparked generations of scientific ambition." It will remain on public display at the Museum through March 28, 2027. 🔽

Academy felt so winky and of our current moment to me that I couldn’t really get into it. Maybe I should give it another try? Most new trek is only fun for me if I pretend it isn’t trying to be trek. Some of it clearly wanted to be anything/everything else.

Prodigy is my favorite of modern Trek. Lower decks is a comfortable second and my once beloved Strange New Worlds is in third place by default. It’s cultural vandalism that Prodigy got canceled and dumped off streaming platforms. It’s a truly fantastic show.

Repostin' The Autumnal. Manifesting my seasonal mood.

Squirrel just wants us all to love the moon too.

I'd love that.

Now THAT is a perfect tagline to sell the series! The Magneto of animal comics?

I also love how purple that horse is. Man. Purple Horse is a hit waiting to happen. My version of this would just be animal competence juxtaposed w/ repeated human hubris & stupidity. In issue 5 they'd establish ranked choice mail-in voting for all AND save a town from a blaze started by fireworks

I'd do my best! I do love drawing animals. I'd also happily draw a Beast Boy, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Swamp Thing or Vixen book too if they're listening :)
