Anyone who sells you a tool that promises to outsource the work of your relationships, or the loving tasks of connecting to our friends and family, is someone who is trying to rob you of your own humanity. For god's sake. Say no to this. Say no to all of it.

I can’t emphasize this enough — “AI” wasn’t born corrupt and toxic. For ~75 years, it was mathematicians and scientists doing interesting, thoughtful work and trying to solve problems, making only the usual human mistakes. What “AI” did to machine learning is as tragic as what it did to artists.

Exactly this. And in fact, many models *have* been created this way, and decades of prior machine learning systems *were* created this way, consensually. These things are choices! People are STILL working this way! It’s not just that a better world is possible — it already EXISTS. We can nurture it.

All the compassion for busy workers, but it's honestly easier to use a simple program to make a flyer rather than a.i. We were doing it in the 80s! The propaganda around a.i. supposedly being better and easier is so widespread.
