One of the first people I ever worked for in publishing used "McMuffin" in this context with a completely straight face. I kept it together, but I have never forgotten that moment. It should have been a sign that it was perhaps not the right fit. Hahahaha.

Skydance now owns Nick, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and MTV, effectively ending US TV animation as we know it. Countless jobs will be lost, and fewer new shows will be created. An apocalyptic scenario for cartoons, yet it's maybe the 5th-worst thing about the Paramount-WB merger!

Just an FYI. Plymouth Van Lines is the worst. Doubled our move estimate two days before the move after we put down our deposit. Tried to double it again when they arrived. And now despite picking up our stuff in CA on 7/28, they likely won’t drop off in Nebraska until late next week. I hate this.

At long last, I can publicly shout about my brilliant husband’s new position as the Johnny Carson Assistant Professor of Storytelling in Emerging Media Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. (Pretty cool title!) We begin our family road trip to Nebraska this weekend. Goodbye, California!
