Ha! Craig's mother loves the sweater I knit for myself last year and asked me to knit her one in a different color. Who am I to say no?

@nicolemwolverton.bsky.socialOct 12, 2026, 12:04 AM

Not a great representation of the color, but here are five stripe cycles of the sweater I'm working up. German short rows for the collar section, top down, raglan. It's a Christmas gift. #knitsky

It's been a weird couple of days, including a funeral, so tomorrow afternoon I'm taking a pilates class followed by a junk journaling workshop in South Philly. Sometimes it's nice to do something oddball.

It is WILD to me that a generation after all the adults told us that watching TV would rot our brains, we turned around and invented a tech that actually will.

Heh! Let's hope this is the only frog of this project.

Started knitting a sweater for my mother-in-law. Got ten rows in on the collar, and I already had to frog and start over. Woot!

I'm old school today: currently wearing Chanel N°5. I'm not a huge fan. #perfumesky

The garden is still producing! Today I harvested two bell peppers, a handful of cucamelons, & an eggplant. The winter garden is also planted, so we'll see how it goes this year. #gardensky

Writers: I'm teaching a one-day Master Class at Rosemont College on November 14! It's limited to 12 students, so if you want to learn how to make every day things into something sinister and tense, hie thee over to the Rosemont College website (URL in my bio Linktree)! #writersky

HAHAHAH! I like it. It would look excellent on a business card.

@nicolemwolverton.bsky.socialOct 4, 2026, 9:06 PM

I fully admit that it's going to happen in my writing office....

I'm doing some interior painting today. I admit it... I was tempted to buy some glitter to add to my trim paint, just for funzies. Yeah, I'm a grown-ass middle aged woman with a yen for more whimsy.

If I ever get laid off, I'll keep you posted! ;p

@nicolemwolverton.bsky.socialOct 4, 2026, 10:23 AM

Definitely after the 16th!

@nicolemwolverton.bsky.socialOct 4, 2026, 2:19 AM

The idea popped into my head, though--be available to talk writers through the BS they have to deal with around publishing. We all deal with it... especially the inclination to just say "screw it" and do publishing differently in a way that actually serves us. 2/2

@nicolemwolverton.bsky.socialOct 4, 2026, 2:19 AM

I continue to consider what I'd do for a living if I ever get laid off, so after my horror-themed knitting store idea, my next option is to be a therapist of sorts specifically for authors. I mean, that's probably more "life/career coach" since I don't have degrees in psychology or social work. 1/
