Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

It did indeed have logic gate symbols in the runes during the explanation. However when I think back about that comic as a whole, my primary feeling is of great disappointment

I was recommended it on the basis that the magic system was like digital logic. But I remember there were things I felt were off about it. And the character's faith seemed more like a burden than an asset

Experimenting with how I color my own character, she's a lot darker black with sharper highlights. I've always intended for her to be a black-scaled dragon, but she always ended up too bright. Based off an ostrich pose I thought was funny.
