@mothmother.comYeah, it's been a little over 7 years for me, and I've lived through more subjective time in those 7 years than in the 40 years of dissociative fugue preceding them. Absolutely unreal how that works. Oh, and happy 5 year traniversary!
@mothmother.com@drtanenbaumii.bsky.social & I are writing something new that is very rooted in our experiences in academia, complete with committee meetings, academic service, colleagues who are secret cryptids, & gay girls who with incompatible methodological paradigms who overcome their epistemic differences!
@mothmother.comRELEASE DAY! I'm so thrilled to be a contributor to this incredible anthology! My poem about trans girls who transition into incomprehensibly beautiful monsters is in such great company here!
@mothmother.comYeah, I feel similarly. I have a short sword and sorcery story in submission right now that I wrote to "clear the cobwebs out" & there's something deliciously freeing writing for "vibes + action" first &"worldbuilding + interiority" a distant second.
@mothmother.comAt last, the world will meet Marin Stormsucker! She's WAY more neurotic than I'd initially planned her to be. But I'm pretty pleased with this improv: "You know...you've had a few drinks and suddenly you have someone tied up in the hold. And not the fun version of that."
@mothmother.comThanks so much!! I fell into an almost trance state while drawing them, and still can't get over how they turned out! It took something like 8 or 9 layers to get them right.
@mothmother.comThank you! 🙏🏻😊 I'm super happy with how the sky turned out!
@mothmother.comDefinitely having one of those "I can't believe I drew that" moments with this piece. The techniques I've been developing this year with traditional materials carry over in unexpected and unpredictable ways and adapting them to the digital medium is a really fun and interesting challenge!
@mothmother.comNot really keeping up with various #inktober or #drawloween prompts, but am still doing daily art. This one is the first digital painting I've done that I'm somewhat happy with with. (I've been too sick this week to spend much time in the studio, or writing, but I can lie in bed & draw on my phone)
@mothmother.comI am SHOOK! Just stunning! 🫶🏻😻😻😻
@mothmother.comA little something off of the #mabsdrawloweenclub prompt list for day 2 of the spooky season: Vampire.

@mothmother.comHehe....thanks... thrilled someone has discovered my hidden masterpiece!
@mothmother.comA pirate dyke is nothing without her crew of thirsty lesbian swashbucklers, and (apparently) her traumatized sadbois.
@jellyfishlines.itch.ioReposted by @mothmother.comOmg! Thats me up there!! I wonder who wrote this post!?
@yellowstonefree.bsky.socialReposted by @mothmother.comITS ME playing as the sea’s sweetheart and whip carrying swashbuckler! This was one of the best tables ive played at and im v v proud of the story we told. Peep the quote reskeets and follow these lovely pirates! They all do great amazing things that you will be glad you’ve seen!!!
@queenjulia11.bsky.socialReposted by @mothmother.comSO excited that I finally get to talk about this!! This game was so much fun, and you can listen to the first episode on @thequeerxp.bsky.social’s Patreon RIGHT NOW! Lowkey crazy it’s taken me this long to play a pirate game.
@mothmother.comY'all! The first episode of my stint as a butch sapphic pirate is now up on early access for subscribers to @thequeerxp.bsky.social's Patreon! We had such a rollicking great time recording this one, swashbuckling out way across spooky, mystical, seas! I can't wait for more people to hear it!
@mothmother.comAnyhow, listen to my most recent album. It slaps.
@mothmother.comEvery now and then I wonder how much my difficulty in getting people to listen to my music is due to the *waves hands at state of the world* everything, and how much of it is because I'm trans, and so my audience is forever limited to whatever subset of trans folks like what I make.
@mothmother.comFound it!!
