I understand your frustration, but I think we need to distinguish between political leadership and the actual authority Jeffries has. He can’t control how senators vote, and I don’t think it’s reasonable to hold him accountable for decisions that aren’t his to make.

Totally get it. But we have to give Jeffries a chance. He has not had the opportunity to be speaker with a Republican president. And we need to give him that. I don’t think he will disappoint

White Tampa Police Officer James Calvert chased three young Black men suspected of burglary. One of them was 19-year-old Martin Chambers (below). As Chambers ran, Calvert shot him in the back, killing him. Word spread through Central Park ("The Scrub")—a Black community instantly.(cont)
