Got some more progress on my #Resonite SDK for #Blender done, mesh data and armatures now transfer completely! There's no intermediate file exchange, Blender's internal mesh data is directly sent to Resonite via #ResoniteLink using my #Python wrapper. It's pretty neat!

I don't know what they expect should harassment not be moderated? It was a one-day timeout... I'm starting to feel like I've made a mistake by reporting it. But at the same time this has pushed me past my breaking point and tossed me into a massive emotional downward spiral for a few days.

An 🦦Otter, a 🐈Cat and a 🔗SPRING CONSTRAINT in Resonite. Playing with @colin.cat's WIP Avatar Physics Constraint System.

Moduprint is a modular approach to prints, hence the name. You can pretty much mix & match modules to customize it for your exact needs and preferences! It also has modules for Redprint compatibilty, so you can use it to unpack Redprint packed code.

It's pretty neat!

I've been slowly returning to @resonite.com after taking a few weeks break, got side-tracked and ended up working on a new feature for #Moduprint together with @colin.cat, quick zone comment selection!

This is a nice small project to get back into working on stuff.

It's just drama, Resonite has been through worse. I suspect it will blow over soon.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 16, 2026, 8:58 AM

Context matters, but I'm not gonna publicly discuss this. I felt harassed, I reported it, moderation seems to have agreed. It's just guidelines / code of conduct being enforced. Has nothing to do with AI guidelines. It was enough to make me feel even worse than I was already feeling.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 16, 2026, 5:21 AM

They were timed out for harassing me >.> Not gonna lie I'm getting really annoyed from people defending that behavior. Makes me feel like I did something wrong, despite knowing that I didn't. They were just being an asshole, that didn't even have anything to do with AI.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 9:33 PM

At most it's "we don't want to *promote* this content". Noone is told not to create AI generated content. I think it would be fair to inform users what qualifies or disqualifies a world from being featured, but you still aren't entitled to Resonite promoting your stuf.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 9:10 PM

But even if the stance is gonna be "we won't feature AI generated content", then that's totally fine and not really related to the mandatory AI tagging. Again it's their decision what they want to promote or not.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 9:09 PM

Well noone said that. This was still a mistake, and they said they temporarily pause all featuring until the AI policy is finalized to avoid further confusion. We'll see what their stance ends up being once they get to it. But honestly I'd say don't read too much into something they apologized for.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 9:03 PM

Featuring is pretty much promoting a world. And the team / company can choose what they want to promote and what not, and I don't see why this can't change. I think it would be nice to let people know what criteria they are looking at, but at the end of the day it's still an individual decision.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 9:03 PM

Well featuring has always been an individual decision. If people want clear rules and requirements for boxes a world should tick to be featured that's a completely different discussion. But personally I don't think anyone is entitled to have their world featured either way.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 8:52 PM

This seems like it could have happened for any reason other than generative AI, it shouldn't have happened at all, but it seems to mainly have been a case of a moderation action not actually being restricted to moderators and no internal process for this to be defined, which they have fixed now.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 8:52 PM

It was a mistake by a non-moderator team member, thinking that's what they should do after being informed by a user. I think it happened because there was no clear process to follow. They've restricted unpublishing to only moderation leads now to prevent this from happening again I think.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 4:36 PM

Also I do really think people are making this appear larger than it actually is. During the entire course of this policy being drafted they've continuously adjusted it based on feedback. Nothing is going to change, except people that don't like AI eventually won't see AI worlds anymore.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 4:36 PM

3. I don't know what criteria is used for featuring worlds, I think it's based on individual choice. But noone is entitled to have their world featured, and the Resonite team don't have to feature something they don't want to represent the platform. Either way that's separate from the AI stuff.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 4:36 PM

2. The purpose of the tagging is to enable filtering for people that don't wish to consume AI generated content. This is not for witch hunts or harassment, and also both of that would not be permitted under Resonite's guidelines, and if someone does that, they'll get punished.

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 4:36 PM

1. What counts as AI generated will be clearly outlined in the guidelines. I suspect something similar to the initial wording, something along the lines of "if you used a prompt to generate something and that is part of your creation, you have to tag it".

@jackthefoxotter.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 3:41 PM

If you want to use AI, use AI. No one is stopping you. All the policy being drafted requires is that you tag it as AI generated. Nothing more, nothing less. That's basically as mild as it gets.
