i feel like it's fair if a reviewer is spreading actual disinformation abt the work as well... like i've had ppl leave steam reviews which just had straight up lies in them also some reviews are rly rude lol

the new play is going to be uploading your game for review 2 months before the planned release date in case steam arbitrarily decides to fuck you over i guess

2 of my vns failed their recent steam review b/c valve 'couldn't verify what content they contained', i was asked to send new builds with all the content automatically unlocked so it could be checked it feels like valve's review is becoming even stricter about what they will allow

if i miss the planned release date of this vn b/c steam's reviewers are incompetent i'll be really upset 😔

steam failed the build of miss sasami too because they don't know how to access all of the content it took them over a week to tell me this i love being punished because steam's reviewers are lazy 👍

when you love your ocs so much you make like 10 whole visual novels about them 😔

Genuinely I feel like it would be easier to just not include content warnings for things not visually depicted because steam can be so obnoxious about this 😔

i don't think steam staff reads any of the text in the vns that are submitted to them, in this case there is no graphic cg of a character committing suicide so it failed review b/c it isn't immediately obvious just by looking at the art how this content is depicted

this scene is visually depicted like this so it isn't exactly graphic or gory lol
