More housing, bikes, and transit.

I think it’s very bad that municipalities have engineered a housing shortage with exclusionary zoning, making housing less affordable/accessible to satisfy wealthy homeowners. I appreciate the BC NDP trying to make it easier to build denser housing, especially near jobs and transit.
I have a lot of appreciation for the BC NDP as the only provincial government to take housing seriously. But calling an early election when the main opposition party doesn’t even have a leader is not a great look.
This is how you write a headline.
Yes. Looks to be one unit on the first floor, two units on the second floor, and two on the third floor (middle door goes up stairs to separate inside doors for them). The two visible third floor doors are their balcony access.
Looks like 6 doors. 1+3+2. (Plus windows.) Though the middle one on floor 2 likely opens to two more inside on floor 3.
Bike lanes are for... go-karts? Ok, it works.
32 km/h is definitionally the class 2 limit. It's my understanding though that most of the US allows class 3 e-bikes, which go up to 45 km/h. Am I mistaken?

The US is once again blackmailing Ukraine for both domestic political and pro-Russia reasons. This is possibly the worst betrayal of Ukraine so far, and should accelerate Euro-Canadian defence independence from the US.
"Sarkaria also said secondary streets, such as King Street and College Street, would be better alternatives for the bike lanes". King Street? Secondary?? With all respect, we're seriously questioning whether the minister has seen any of these Toronto roads with his own eyes.
Trump is openly siding with Putin, blaming Ukraine's self-defense rather than Russia's aggression for the war, and telling Ukraine to surrender. Worth calling it out every time. But hardly new. Ambushing Zelensky in DC, aping Russian propaganda, and insisting it's Ukraine's fault was March 2025.
(I'm a little rusty but I think /u/ is typically fronted somewhat in Canadian English anyway? Not that I should be carrying that over to French.) Obviously big caution for real research (ChatGPT failed completely). But it has a high ceiling and can be impressive.
Among other things, it ran the formants and said I got /y/ better than anglos often do but that my /u/ isn't as far back as typically expected. But caveated that it came after an alveolar and that it doesn't have enough data in the short clip to get a good sense of my vowel space.
My province's existing laws apply to e-bikes (and e-scooters) but not mobility scooters. Seems straightforward to enforce. These are completely different machines. While for speed — cyclists change between speeds on the same trip, and most don't have a speedometer anyway.
Could you actually leave out the subject and have it be grammatical? (The other side suggest that that was not their intention)
“Livre au parc” is a typo. On the other side it says “livré au parc”. (Although it should probably be “livrés au parc”? Or just “livraison au parc”.)

“Motor = helmet” is an easy law. “Sporty guys on road bikes sprinting to make a PR need helmets (but not when they’re going slower)” isn’t a practical law at all!
If he wanted to say that, he could have said that.
Just a random clip of me responding to someone asking a question while filming!
