I'm so excited to focus on the next steps, integrating the more complex and harder to find systems that will really make complex integrations and processes with events possible.

This is ultimately what it's about. We've development a reg-in-a-box solution that is cheaper than DIY and eliminates the hassle of storage, testing, repairs, all the stuff our partner events don't need to worry about. The bins show up, they're unpacked, and reg is running in under an hour.

@cellivar.devOct 12, 2026, 5:24 AM

Recently we were able to take the revenue from events and plow it directly back into a major purchase of newer equipment. It is so reliable and more consistent I was confident enough (after plenty of testing) to drive it 4 hours away to BLFC as our first large deployment. It's paying off!

This is important progress for a few reasons. * I can't attend every event we supply * I can't braindump everything I know for others * I can't rely on users to document behavior reliably every time * I can't let our events down, it will end me I need the equipment to work correctly the first time

The more modern stuff is much better suited to set and run. I'm very happy that I was able to walk away from the BLFC reg line after making sure they were good to go. Later on I was told they cleared the entire line quickly and got over 80 percent of pre-reg taken care of. No hardware problems.

Slowly over time I've been trying to bring SQEKR Tech equipment rentals up to the point I feel comfortable not actively babysitting them at large events. We test and maintain the equipment, but some of it is over 20 years old. They were designed to have a technician on standby. That's me now.

Thinking about BLFC is going to keep me together through these Friday meetings today

Leftmost switch is the aux lightbar power cutoff. All of the exterior rock crawler lights come on full blast together. Whole roadway around them is suddenly the brightness of the sun. Ferrari slams on the brakes so hard they spin out. They kept a very long following distance from then on.

@cellivar.devOct 8, 2026, 7:41 PM

Front passenger gets woken up by this, asks what's going on. The driver tells her "see that row of switches? Turn them on, starting from the right". She starts flipping the aux switches as the pax in the rear starts waking up too. He realizes too late what she's doing, and yells to stop too late.

I remember reading a story a while back somewhere, three friends in a jeep driving back home at night after a long day. Offroading vehicle, equipped for it, including big tires so they're keeping top speeds down. An Audi zooms up and starts tailgating, honking, blinking lights and being an asshat.

Well look out the window and try to spot the baby!

Rat racer on a boulangerie run.

A collaboration with @fpiatti.bsky.social who built & painted the car (and took these photos!) 💛
Tried a bunch of new things in terms of materials for this one! Really happy with how it turned out 😊

Always worth asking small companies like this for help on their support line, worst case they ghost you and you're still looking at trying to fix it yourself. If you don't get a better answer I have the equipment and some skills to chase down component failures like that, give me a ping.
