@pat.alaskarobotics.comHis response was well, which do you want, a dividend or an income tax. Because we can't have both. He said we couldn't bring in money with one hand and pay it out with another. Which is a wild statement because the state government literally exists to do that.
@pat.alaskarobotics.comIt was nice talking to him. Reassuring in a way because he just didn't have that frustrating spark of a truly malign intellect. Just kind of a guy. We agreed that a statewide sales tax was wrong for Alaska but his eyes really bulged out when I told him we needed an income tax.
@pat.alaskarobotics.comDave Bronson told me all the billionaires left New York and there was only one left... Which is both hilariously wrong and a not a good argument against an income tax in Alaska where we have right around zero billionaires claiming residence.
