@miskaknapek.bsky.socialI like the surprise shoppinh part of eBay - or similar - dvd shopping. Practical coincidences decide what one gets.

@miskaknapek.bsky.social... I guess these things can be sorted out, but one certainly get the sense one needs a human in the loop to make an interface used by humans. Sure enough this is easier to fix for basic websites and dashboards, but for more custom software, for niche use cases, it's hard to automate.
@miskaknapek.bsky.social... - Visual grouping : The distances between elements are wrong. Eg headlines for a block may be closer to the previous block, than the block it represents. Thus it looks like the headline relates to the previous block, than the block it belongs to.
@miskaknapek.bsky.social... Like: - Things of lesser priority (eg normal text) have more visually strong colours than more important elements (eg headlines), making less important elements look more important than they should be. ...
@miskaknapek.bsky.socialthanks for putting your finger on this. as I'm more in the datavis sector, I run into more dashboard AI generated things than websites. I was wondering why they looked so bad, and realised they might look neat and compact, but they miss basic graphic design visual principles. ...
@miskaknapek.bsky.socialI keep getting ads on slashdot for Chinese LLM Services - eg DeepSeek servers - for quite a lot cheaper than western ones. The game is certainly on
@miskaknapek.bsky.socialThe key is using ownership of shares as a collateral for loans, not necessarily the dividends of the shares themselves. And even the dividends are taxes far lower - aka capital gains tax - compared to income tax
