@matthew.flux.communityWindows actually does defragging automatically for you in the background. Defrag is bad for SSDs or NVMEs though so OSes use TRIM on them, which is something different. There still are Windows defrag tools, but they're a waste. Newer Linux filesystems don't need defrag at all.
