Yeah, maybe the term (firewall) the author picked is not the best to illustrate this issue, but the point is good. I feel guilty of doing it as well 🙈
This is a cool read!

Have you ever wondered why it is port 3000, 8080 or maybe even 5173 that your local project is most likely running on? Why are these particular ones so popular in a world where you have tens of thousands to choose from?
I have been using lazygit for multiple years. I blogged about it two years ago. It's going pretty strong under the new ownership 🎉

Good one! I feel so guilty of overreliance on links. Note taken and I'll try to improve on this one.
Love reading them all! Send more my way folks
This may not be what you expect it to be. This is all about the growth of the London scene of a specific kind of jazz, that has mix of all sorts of influences of other generes: house, rap, soul. Very dancy! It is not about classic jazz.

🎶 New music in my collection
Two of the jazz bands I’ve been listening to most recently are both from Melbourne: Karate Boogaloo and Surprise Chef. No surprise, they are friends and share a band member, Hudson Whitlock.
I also dropped some good old Polish rap!

In the age of AI, porting from X to Y is fast (not always cheap).
I love the idea of Homebrew being x100 faster. What I would like to see, is collaboration with the authors of the origin tool. Why can't this thing be the next major version of `brew` if it's that good?
🙏
🎶 New music in my collection
Some great funky, obviously some rap, some librarian funk bangers, some Polish jazz amazingness and a few guilty pleasure albums from my childhood.
Whenever I built the receiving backend, I design it in a way so it works with plain good old default submit POST behaviour. This is my preference when possible. Reality very often is against me, and I don't control what the other end receives so in this case preventDefault() and fetch(...) 🤷♂️

Great post. Describes the problem I didn't even know I have, but also comes with a one-liner solution. I also didn't know about this property/value is in the CSS. As always top content!
