Summer fun survives everything, apparently.

A chaotic zombie pool party fills a narrow residential courtyard between weathered houses. In the foreground, a wild-eyed blue-gray zombie charges through shallow, violently splashing water, its mouth stretched open to reveal rows of jagged teeth. Strands of black hair whip upward around its head, and a brightly patterned cone-shaped party hat juts sideways behind one ear. The zombie wears a torn dark vest with ragged red accents, one arm reaching outward while the other is clenched near its body.

Dozens of other undead partygoers crowd the pool and its edges behind it. Their decaying gray and green faces have bulging eyes, exposed teeth, tangled hair, and exaggerated expressions. Several wear colorful party hats while others casually hold red frozen treats on sticks. Large turquoise and pink beach balls float among the figures and across the water. Overhead, strings of ragged triangular pennants in teal, orange, red, purple, and yellow crisscross between the buildings. Confetti and scraps of color scatter through the scene. The artwork uses loose, energetic brushwork, pale washed-out surroundings, and vivid bursts of turquoise, coral, and red, creating a grotesque but playful collision of zombie horror and summertime celebration.
