Finally finished this painting of the Ginger Garden 🌺✨
This painting was commissioned by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and is featured in their building
#zingiberales #gingerplant #botanicalart #SciArt🐡

A watercolor and gouache painting of three ginger flowers, namely Torch Ginger (dark red petals lined in white with a very intricate inner core of pink petals), Shampoo Ginger (deep red, resembling pinecones) and banana trees in the background. Featured also are a Borneo Spiderhunter bird with its olive plumage and long beak, and some green-pink fruit doves in the background.

A photo showing a painting of ginger flowers along with a rather messy painting palette full of green, blue and red smudges of paint.
