"Lotus" by Lu Hong, 1990

The Art Scoop: Five elongated, stylised figures emerge from a layered composition of deep blue and green, their bodies defined by fine geometric lines, circular forms and delicate details. White lotus flowers bloom above and between them, creating a serene, symbolic contrast to the dark, abstract background and giving the work a contemplative quality.
