@ht4ecosocialism.bsky.socialThe #BBC is being trashed - deliberately. This began in 2010 when Cameron specifically threatened the BBC. Its' been taken over by the right and is being run down. Lot's of good R4 programmes being cancelled #YouandYours, #ThinkingAllowed etc. It needs saving!
@lindaoctopus.bsky.socialI can't see #YouAndYours being an expensive programme to produce, so you have to wonder what the motives are. Maybe the new DG has been shredded by Winifred Robinson in the past.

@johndaledalton.bsky.social#YouAndYours is a long-running staple. For what it's worth I think they mistake was to extend it from 30 mins to an hour i 1998. They should shorten it and keep it on. #wato
@anniebannister.bsky.socialIt's an atrocious decision. We need good consumer programmes now more than ever. With the terrifying rise in AI scams, top-of-their-game experts, telling us what is happening & how to protect ourselves is vital. Plus #YouAndYours nailed knowing what issues affect & interest listeners.
@lindaoctopus.bsky.socialI don't fancy the BBC's chances if Winifred Robinson goes on the rampage. Seriously, though, #YouAndYours is a really useful and informative programme, and this is a terrible decision.
@anniebannister.bsky.socialIt's a massive mistake to lose #YouAndYours.
@bogglekittenz.bsky.socialA daft decision in the current round of #BBC cuts.
#YouAndYours is a a great consumer programme, and I'm very sorry to hear it's going, be of the most useful shows on #BBCRadio4.
