A smoky, hazy drive to an incredible set of falls back in July amidst the fires. Summers in Michigan are such an intense sensory experience — the heat, humidity, smells, water, and of course, the bugs. Wouldn’t trade this for anything.

Author Ernest Hemingway once said “….the best rainbow trout fishing in the world is in the rapids of the Canadian Soo…” From what I hear it's coming back. In the meantime I know plenty of #Yooper spots and even a few on the Canadian side where we fight fish not each other!
