The first #JamesBond film, #DrNo, was released in the UK on #ThisDayInHistory in 1962. Based on the sixth #IanFleming Bond novel, it is notable for the unfortunate use of #yellowface on two white actors, and for making #bikini sales skyrocket from a famed appearance in the film.

#Yellowface is a book that let me balance between irritation and empathy. #RFKuang writes about real people with different character traits. The one part that I didn’t liked was how some storylines were too negative and far-sought. The story made me think about racism #booksky #review #books

From #Misery to #Yellowface I’ve read so many books about #writers
So far I’ve not written about being an #author or #writing
I prefer to write about people with ordinary jobs. #FruitFly

I misread this in the trending list as "Asian" and thought, "Meryl's a funny one to pull this."
