Generative cat

#XQuery #SVG #CreativeCoding #HumanArt

Wide-eyed cartoonish black cat over a vibrant bed of succulents. It looks a little nervous.

WIP: so not the vibe I was aiming at

I set a parameter hilariously wrong, but I kinda like it, so I rolled with it

Spidery looping clusters of writing. Is it writing? Lines of text? They almost look like lines of text, but with large gaps. There are looping strokes, and dots and little marks. Arabic? No. Not Arabic. Something stranger. Eerie. Alien. Green and yellow. Does the colour signify?

Mountains of madness

A quick sketch, using simple geometry and bold colours

#XQuery #SVG #CreativeCoding #HumanArt

A teal sky and and orange plain covered with sharp peaks, brilliantly lit (white, pale yellow) on the right face, cross-hatched red shadows on the back face. A pale sun shines high in the sky. It is very simplistic, childish even, and yet even so there is something evocative about it. We're in the desert southwest, facing a long hot day of hiking.

Colour and flow

#XQuery #SVG #CreativeCoding #HumanArt

The palette is a series of bold colours: cadet blue, rust, tan. The background paints these in a gradient from blue in the top left to red in the bottom right. Across the background are a series of horizontal lines, also in these colours, of various lengths, with gaps. The long lines tend to be blue, creating wide bubbles surrounded by bands of lighter tan and rust froth. Abstract, but the eye -- always -- looks for form and meaning. A dancer, reaching back over their head? A map of islands? Surf rolling in?
