Right, then, #xmen90s time, and having seen #Wolverine reuniting with the X-Men in “X-Tinction Agenda”, let’s see what the ol canucklehead is getting up to in his own book. All these issues are brought to us by #LarryHama and #MarcSilverstri, so let’s see what they brought us in the summer of 1990.

#xmen90s hits “X-Tinction Agenda”, the first of the 90s crossovers, something that will become a fixture of the next decade. And we’re at the point where, after a couple of years of the X-Teams doing pretty much their own thing, they’re going to start being a lot closer for a while. #xtinctionagenda

Here comes #xmen90s! The 1990 X-Annuals guest-star the #FantasticFour, with a sort-of sequel to the classic “Days of Future Past”, brought to us by regular x-scribes #ChrisClaremont and #LouiseSimonson, as well as then-current FF-author, #WaltSimonson.

Back with #xmen90s, and it’s #MarvelComicsPresents #62-71, which are, um, not great. #62 and #63 are a 2-parter, in which #Wolverine saves his friend #TygerTyger (though it takes till halfway through part 2 to confirm that it IS Tyger Tyger) from some smuggler/kidnappers.

Back again with #xmen90s, and it’s those #NewMutants, with what has to be the most 90s issues so far, as #93 and 94 bring us the fight we wanted: #Cable vs #Wolverine! And it’s drawn by the legend that is #RobLiefeld!

No time for #xmen90s today, but in lieu of that, here’s a photo of something I saw in a shop in Glasgow today and just had to buy. There was also a Mister Sinister piece but I resisted that temptation, just.

A chess piece in the form of the Sentinel of the future. Nimrod!

Here comes #xmen90s, and let’s see what #X-Factor are up to in issues 56-59. Four issues by the usual writer, #LouiseSimonson, but drawn by four artists, which doesn’t help with the storytelling.

Another day, another #xmen90s, and, checking back in on #Wolverine, he’s got himself a new writer, #LarryHama, best known for writing #GIJoe for the last decade. Not only that, but #MarcSilvestri ’s been lured across from X-Men.

Back once again with #xmen90s and it's #Excalibur. Issue #24 left on a cliffhanger, with Excalibur back home, just in time for the arrival of #Galactus, beautifully rendered by #AlanDavis. Issue #26 carries on from there, but Davis is on another break, and the art is… a bit less beautiful.

And we’re back with #xmen90s, and the return of one of the actual #X-Men that people care about (no offence to #Forge and #Banshee, but you KNOW no-one’s interested in them). Yes, #Storm is back, but she’s a bit different.

Happy Monday, what's on the #xmen90s stack today? Marvel Comics Presents, that's what? The anthology book that, for sales reasons, always has a #Wolverine strip. Pretty much an inventory stories book, nonetheless this is more 90s than quite a lot of the other X-Books.

The team get into a stramash with Sabretooth (who’s still wandering around the Morlock tunnels after his recent appearance in X-Factor - look, ma, continuity!), and he comes off the worse for it. But he’ll be back. As will #xmen90s, on Monday!

We’re back with #xmen90s. One book that’s rapidly heading into the 90s is New Mutants, where Louise Simonson is, as of #86, joined by rising star Rob Liefeld. Of whom we will hear much more in the next couple of years.

And we're back with #xmen90s, and it's X-Factor, another book which still feels firmly in the 80s. Louise Simonson’s writing the book, mostly with Terry Shoemaker on art duties (though, like other books, X-Factor’s not above getting a hot new artist to draw the cover, to lure readers in.)

Ok, back to #xmen90s, what's Wolverine up to? After Archie Goodwin's “South American Nazis” plot, we get a fill-in by Peter David, and then Jo Duffy takes over for a 6-issue stint, which starts with an origin story for Wolverine (told as a story to a child that Logan’s babysitting).
